The U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center of Excellence - The Navigation Center operates services and provides information that enhances the safety, security, and efficiency of U.S. waterways and civil GPS users. Among the many resources on the site are Local Notice to Mariners and U.S and International Navigation Rules.

The U.S. Coast Guard's Boating Safety Division - The Division's mission is To minimize the loss of life, personal injury, property damage, and environmental impact associated with the use of recreational boats, through preventive means, in order to maximize safe use and enjoyment of U.S. Waterways by the public.

Boating Safety and Education

BoatUS - The Boat Owner’s Association of the US. The Sailing Club is a group member. The advantage of this membership is that Club members may want to join BoatUS for their own purposes. It is a worthy organization with and informative monthly magazine about boat operation and maintenance, safety at sea, and many others.
