Yarrrr, me hearties! We’ll be spendin’ this weekend lookin’ for treasure on and near the fine waters of the northern Chesapeake Bay. We’ll make way out the channel through the treacherous shallows protecting our home port, then head in the direction of the setting sun. Whether propelled by nature or artifice, we’ll make forward progress to our secret pirate’s hideaway for an evening of revelry.

Bring yer pirate gear for the gathering Saturday night. Anyone not talkin’ like a pirate at the party will be made to walk the plank! But don’t worry – the summer-warm waters of the northern Bay are only brackish and the sea nettles are few. See that yer vessel is bedecked with yer colors: the finest pirate vessel will be honored. Bribing the judges will not be tolerated!

If the winds don’t blow sweet on Sunday we’ll put the lash to the slaves, but either way we’ll be callin’ on Georgetown in Mary’s beautiful land. There’ll be shore leave for all, with a double tot of rum to smooth the way. Keep yer wits about ye, there’s treasure to be found there for those who care to hunt for it. Treasure maps and clues will be supplied. Whether you hunt or just play swabbie you’ll be at liberty to enjoy the marina swimming pool and dinner ashore.

The cost of the trip is $340.00 per person (Skippers - $180.00). This price covers charter fees and insurance. Food, fuel, slip fees, and other incidental expenses are additional and will be handled by each boat’s crew. A $100.00 deposit is required to hold your position. Please make your check payable to The Sailing Club, Inc. and mail it, along with your completed reservation form, to Mia McCroskey at the address below. Reservations will be processed beginning April 13, 2007 with a random draw of those received by that date. All reservations received after that date are on a first-come, first-served basis. The balance of $240.00 will be due July 11, 2007.
