Welcome to the 2026-2027 Sailing Club Season
Welcome to the 2026-2027 season, our 44th year as a Sailing Club. We welcome back our veteran members and extend a warm welcome to our new members and those considering membership.
We have planned some very exciting trips and hope you will be part of the fun. The Club is run solely by members. Any member may present a trip to the Board and may also help run it. If there is a trip you would like to propose (and enjoy up to a 50% discount on the charter fee if you help run it), please reach out to any Board member. We will be happy to help steer you through the process of running a trip. For inspiration, you can check out our library of prior years’ trips at Trip Log Book
The season will start with a return to our highly desirable On-Water Training on May 16 and 17. This is a perfect opportunity to brush up on your sailing skills and learn new ones. It’s also a great way for new sailors to get their feet wet (hopefully not literally) in the sport.
In June, we will head to Spain for a week exploring the waters off the island of Mallorca. This trip is waitlisted, but you are welcome to add your name to the list.
June 25-29, we will join the celebration of The United States’ 250th birthday with a five-day cruise to Baltimore. Tall Ships, a Blue Angels air show, Coast Guard demonstrations, and a variety of music festivals are highlighted.
August and September will find us back on the Chesapeake. Mia McCroskey will guide a three-day weekend over August 15-17 that will find us up Bodkin Creek and the Severn River for two nights of rafting up and some no-holds barred trivia featuring lavish prizes!
For September 17-23, Anne Marie Kelly will lead us to Annapolis, then to the Choptank River for a night at anchor. This will be followed by a lay day at the charming waterfront town of Oxford, and then we’ll head back the way we came.
Finally, we are still in the planning stage of a winter getaway, so stay tuned.

Membership is required for all Club trips. Please complete both pages and mail them with your check to the Membership Secretary at the address on the form. I wish you an enjoyable sailing season, and please share our secret with friends and encourage them to try sailing with us.
